Sister Lakes is one of Michigan’s best communities. We must protect it for future generations. A proposed factory chicken farm threatens public health, clean water, clean air, and family farms. But we cannot save our precious community alone.
Factory farms ruin communities
An out-of-town, BIG corporate farmer (not your local roadside produce stand farmers that we all love) is proposing to put a large chicken factory on Bakeman Road. We know these farms destroy air quality, water quality, public health, and family farms in the surrounding area. A farm like this would ruin the famous Sister Lakes resort area.
